Our Junior Club is held on Thursday evenings (6.45pm to 7.45pm).

We will be returning on Sept. 16th 2010.

All are welcome regardless of chess experience - we are at the Bridge

Club on St. Marys Road the same venue as our senior Chess Club.

Those kids (early teens) who are good enough can play in the senior club

competitions - check with Brendan or Christy O'Sullivan for details.

A very belated report on how our club members got on at this years Irish Junior Championships.....

 

This is young Conor McDonagh who finished 3rd in the Irish Cahampionships (under 10 section) held in May2010, who despite playing against more experienced competitors showed strong self belief to do exceptionally well along with his fellow club mate, Matthew Laffey, who finished strongly in 4th place.

 

 

 

At 13 year old Oissine Murphy, who was 3rd in the under 16 section, is a member of our senior club for a couple of seasons now due to fantastic ability and success.
