The Galway Chess Congress 2010 will be held from Oct 1-3 2010 at the Salthill Hotel, Galway.

The Salthill Hotel is right on the promenade looking out over the sea in Salthill, Galway.   Picture above is from the prom and the pic below is in the opposite direction from the same spot.

Airports

The nearest airport to us Galway Airport which is about 15 miles away - see  www.galwayairport.com.  It has flights from Luton, Manchester, Edinburgh, Lorient and Isle of Man. If you let us know in advance, we can problem collect you from the airport.

After that, the next airport is Shannon which is about 50 miles away but Ryanair fly there from Gatwick, Stansted and Liverpool among other places -see www.shannonairport.com. There is a regular bus service from Shannon to Galway.
