Puzzle Night

Grand Prix Table

Grand prix points :

Round 1 - We began by scoring 0 , 5 , 7 or 10 pts. on each puzzle.

Round 2 -  In order to bring a bit of life to the evening we set up the middlegame positions and played them out ourselves before solving.    Everyone who did all the puzzles got max pts !!.

Following our 2nd round  the standings are :

The Prize - to be presented at the end of the season,  will be a trophy and a voucher most likely for Easons or something like that  ...see the grand prix table  .....

R3 - Our next puzzle night will be held on Thursday, May 4th. The next theme is similar to our last one -  more positional sacrafices.

Format for April - We will play the the position (blitz game) ... then in pairs come up with our solutions ....  finally we'll examine the solutions and allocate pts. -  5 pts. or 7 pts. or 10 pts. ( democratic allocation of points based on the perceived quality of proposed moves ).
